  • Quieting impact and vibration

Many applications call for damping, quieting vibration, and quieting impact. Friction springs help because they are constructed with radial rings that deform briefly and convert impact energy into frictional heat. Friction springs, originally used by engineers in stacked configurations, are found to absorb shock in a fairly controlled manner. Today they are used in a myriad of applications.
