Attocube Systems

In 2002, scientists of the Center for NanoScience (CeNS) funded the company Attocube Systems AG in Munich. Their compact, nano-precise positioning system is capable of executing sample movement from the sub-nanometer to a centimeter range in a variety of environments like UHV, low temperatures, or at high magnetic fields. The Attocube Systems technology builds on positioning devices with moving parts that can perform at temperatures down in the Millikelvin range. They also produce low temperature Scanning Probe Microscopes like LT-AFM, LT-CFM or LT-SNOM based on these reliable positioning devices.
