Rotary Motors

Allen-Bradley's line of rotary motors includes ferrite magnet servomotors, high power servomotors, high performance servomotors, direct drive servomotors, and compact servomotors. Used in various motion control applications, the ferrite magnet, high power, and direct drive motors provide continuous torque of 3.5 to 955 Nm and speeds up to 4500 RPM. High performance servomotor types available include low inertia, medium inertia, food grade, and stainless steel. The compact 230V servomotors feature a high resolution absolute encoders and 2000-line incremental encoders.

Kollmorgen manufactures nine series of brushless rotary servomotors. The AKM series AC synchronous servomotors provide speeds up to 8000 rpm and are available in eight frame sizes. The company's EB explosion proof servomotor series is designed for 230 VAC applications and provides speeds up to 7500 rpm. The submersible series of servomotors can operate at depths of 20,000 feet, and feature stainless steel and aluminum nickel bronze housing. The BM series of servomotors provide performance for motion systems with either rapid acceleration/deceleration, compliant loads, or large inertia mismatches.

Aerotech's rotary motors are used in ultra-precision positioning and high-throughput industrial automation applications. The company's family of rotary motors includes brushless rotary motors; brushless, slotless rotary motors; brushless, frameless torque motors; DC servomotors; and stepper motors. Depending on type, the rotary motors provide continuous torque of 0.16 to 29.09 Nm, rated speed of 200 to 8000 RPM, and peak torque ranges from 0.48 to 116.37 Nm.

The company's line of rotary motors includes 1000-3000 watt, 500-1000 watt, intelligent series, more than 3000 watts, up to 500 watts, and mature models - available with bridged stator, segmented lamination, slotless, or conventional designs.

Hybrid rotary stepper motors manufactured by Detector Technology Inc.n are available in sizes from 8 to 42, and with a range of speed and torque outputs.
