Encoders

Eltra's incremental and absolute encoders include the EA120P 13 bit absolute hollow shaft encoder. The EA 120 is suitable for textile machines, elevator motors and generally all the applications where large diameter shaft is required. It is available with SSI and ICO output. Eltra offers a complete range of encoders with resolution up to 10.000 pulses per turn (ppr) with a wide flange choice and several electronic outputs. Options include stainless steel enclosed, explosionproof encoders up to 10,000 ppr with Zero, magnetic technology, potentiometer, hollow and solid shaft.

Heidenhain linear encoders include sealed and exposed versions, incremental and absolute. The measuring lengths of their exposed linear encoders range from 70 mm to 30040 mm. Sealed linear encoders are available with full-size scale housings for high resistance to vibration up to 30 m measuring length, as well as slimline scale housing for limited installation space up to 2040 mm measuring length.

GM Nameplate manufactures optical encoders and disk encoders. They make film and glass encoders photographically by contact exposure of photographic film directly from chrome-on-glass or emulsion-on-film masters. Metal encoders are chemically or laser etched. Resolutions range from 20 to 550 lines per inch (LPI) with line and space widths from .025" to .00091".

LTN's range of rotary encoders include customized solutions as for example extended reference impulse, assemblies with slip rings as well as special dimensions. In addition, they offer solutions with which can be evaluated at the same time up to 8 independent traces. The number of increments can range from 2 to a10,000 maximum, and depend on the model.
