Pro-Dex manufactures the MAXv multi-axis motion controller. It is a VME bus-based motion controller with models from 1 up to 8 user-definable axes for servo and stepper motion control. All signals, data points, and the PID loop update every 122?s on all 8 axes.

These include a 126 axis motion controller: the Maestro. The Maestro is a real time network based multi-axis motion manager that operates in conjunction with their SimplIQ range of digital servodrives. Another example of MCP's product line is the SPiiPlus SAR-LT stand-alone multi-axis motion controller, a RoHS compliant motion controller available in 2, 4, 6 or 8-axis design.

Technosoft manufactures the TMC-3D a multi-axis motion controller & servo driver. The TMC-3D features an 8-axis motion controller, with integrated digital servo amplifier for one axis; capability of generating a 3-dimensional path, and programmable via TML (Technosoft motion language) or motion libraries available for PC or PLC.

Newport offers 1 to 3 axis motion controllers/drivers, such as the SMC100 series, a single-axis control for DC servo motors (SMC100CC) and 2-phase stepper motors (SMC100PP) up to 48 VDC at 1.5 A rms. It features RS-232-C or USB communication and an internal RS-485 link allows networking up to 31 controllers.

Galil offers the Accelera Series of high-speed motion controllers which process commands in 40 microseconds, accepts encoder inputs as fast as 22 MHz, with servo loop updates as high as 32 kHz and available in 1- thru 8-axis models. Their single-axis controllers are designed for single axis or 1 1/2 axis applications and feature uncommitted I/O and Eternet or RS232 port.

Strategi offers PC-based multi-axis motion controllers that can control stepper and servo motors, pneumatics and hydraulics. Various bus options include PCI, ISA, Compact PCI, PC/104, VME.  Available up to 8 axes on a single card.

Schneider Electric offers several ranges of motion controllers. The TLCC motion controller for instance features a powerful, integrated soft PLC. Ethernet TCP/IP with OPC server or Profibus DP are used for networking with hosts. This motion controller is suitable for all applications requiring coordinated motion, such as pick & place, handling, mounting, testing, measuring, supplying, stacking, palletising and format. The SMC motion controller is an autonomous process module and can coordinate up to 32 drives or control devices such as I/O modules.
