Amplifiers & Drives

Anaheim Automation manufactures AC, DC and VAC type drives. Their AC Servo drives have power ratings from 200 to 5,000 Watts, industrial-grade power modules, and modbus for networking up to 32 motors. Their brushless DC drives/controllers were designed for high volume OEM applications; brushless speed controllers have input ranges of 10 to 50VDC or 85 to 135 VAC, peak current 5 to 30 Amps. Anaheim Automaton also manufactures stepper drivers and brush DC drivers/controllers.

Nippon Pulse America offers stepper motor driver chips (NP Series) and complete board level stepper motor drivers (BCD / NPAD Series) to drive either unipolar or bipolar two-phase stepper motors in a wide range of motion control applications. Models in the NP series of chip level drivers have unipolar or bipolar stepper motors, with full and half step excitation mode. The BCD and NPAD series are constant current/chopper type driver board.

BCS Motion, Inc. is a distributor of a wide array of motion control products including Yaskawa brand amplifiers and drives. Models include the MP2000iec Series machine controllers designed with a built-in web server that is compatible with the most popular network protocols. The series is comprised of the MP2300Siec and the MP2310iec available in 4, 8, and 16-axis models.

National Instruments manufactures servo and stepper drives as part of their motion control line. The P70360 and NI P70530 are both 1-axis stepper drives. The P70360 525 Watt drive has 2.5 A continuous current output and 320 V bus voltage; selectable 200 to 50,000 steps/revolution microstepping, available 120 or 240 VAC powered. The 300 Watt NI P70530 features 5 A continuous, 20 to 75 V bus voltage, 7.1 A peak current output and 20 to 75 VDC input voltage.

Aerotech digital servo amplifiers have a wide output power range from 10 A peak to 150 A peak at 320 VDC. Other features include 2- or 3-phase AC line input or DC input, continuous output current from 5 A to 75 A dependent on model. The Ndrive line of drives are capable of controlling brushless, DC brush, and stepper motors over a wide range of operating voltages and currents.

Allied Motion offers brushless drives in two versions, integreated with their motors and as standalone units. Their X-Drives are precision, all-digital DSP-based servo drive amplifiers capable of supplying up to 12 A RMS continuous, 24 A RMS peak current at up to 230 VAC.

Amacoil offers their RG and RS linear drives and a full line of AZ timing belt drives. The RG linear drives are for reciprocating motion applications, available in 17 sizes are also available custom engineered. The AZ-1010 has a narrow profile, travel speed of up to 3.5 M (11.48 ft.) per second, with repeatable accuracy to within +/- 0.2 mm (0.007 in.). Unlike the RG variable pitch drive, the RS comes standard with a fixed pitch setting of 0.5 times the shaft diameter. Each RS drive is also available with four other pitch settings: 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 times the shaft diameter.

Advanced Motion Controls manufactures a range of servo drives. Features of their wide range include  having continuous current of 3 A up to 50 A, with peak currents of up to 6 A, or as much as 120 A.

Kollmorgern offers AC servo, DC servo, adjustable speed, stepper, and OEM/custom drive products, all with models available covering a wide range of input voltage and output power level. TheirAC servo drives are designed to complement their wide range of rotary and linear three phase brushless servomotors. Their DC motor adjustable speed drives are capable of running wound field or permanent magnet motors. Other adjustable speed drives Danaher offers include general purpose AC variable frequency drives from fractional to 40 HP.

Servotronix Motion Control Ltd.  is a supplier of motion control equipment and components. Servo drive products include AC, DC, CANopen and Custom drives. The CD series of servo dives features resolver, incremental encoder, sine encoder (including Heidenhain EnDat support and 5V Stegmann Hiperface support) or halls-only operation as well as 14-bit analog to digital conversion for ±10Vdc operation, serial command, 6 digital inputs and 1 digital output, configurable to a variety of functions and analog output for monitoring various parameters.

AMCI manufactures stepper motor drives that are available in several voltage and amp ratings. Their Microstepping driver has specifications that include 4.0 Arms/5.6A peak (75VDC); 400, 1000, 2000 and 5000 steps per turn, programmable; and capability for speeds up to 50 rps (3000 rpm).

Baldor manufactures AC and DC servo drives. Their DC Servo Drives include totally enclosed  stand-alone units like the TSD series that plugs into 115 or 220 Vac. The UM series typically contains from one to six servo control cards mounted onto a multi-axes chassis containing a power supply. Baldor's MicroFlex e100 is one of their AC servo drives; it integrates  real-time Ethernet, and is available in single phase from 110-230VAC or 3 phase 230VAC operation in current ratings of 3, 6 and 9A.

Bison's AC variable frequency drives feature a lightweight, plastic NEMA 4X enclosure, an isolated front end, minimum speed adjustment potentiometer (pot), output voltage doubling, DC injection braking, and automatic or manual restart when power is restored. Their DC drives include dual SCR chassis, PWM chassis, low voltage PWM, and NEMA 4X configurations.

Camco offers a wide range of AC Drives, with models of 1 to 5 hp with 120, 240 or 460V AC input, and up to 60 cycles/minute. The Camco ring drive is available in four sizes, 3/4 to 2.0 meter diameters and has 60 station capability. Other index drive types they offer are right angle, heavy duty and parallel models.

Cleveland Motion Controls (CMC) offers general purpose amplifiers and servo amplifiers, brush and brushless design. CMC Amplifiers are available with new machinery, in systems and for retrofit. The SD 5000 is a digital servo drive amplifier with features that include 17 programmable I/O points, torque, velocity and step-and-direction control, EN954-1 safety standard and RoHS/WEE compliance. It has 2-18 Amps continuos RMS current, 80-528 VAC input and 300% peak RMS current. Their Legacy servo amplifiers are for brushless motors up to 850 oz-in (2250 oz-in. peak), for a wide range of applications, including pick-and-place, semiconductor, medical, packaging, inspection, robotics, and factory automation.

Copley Controls has ruggedized servo drives, digital servo & stepper drives designed for brushless and/or brush motors and stepper motors. The ruggedized drives feature operating tolerances such as -400m to 5,000m in altitude, vibration of 5 Hz to 500 Hz, up to 3.85 grms. and ambient temperature from -40°C to 70°C. Their digital drive models feature continuous current of 1-20 A, 1-12 A, 2-10 A, 3-12 A and 5-15 A, and input powers of 100-240 VAC and 20-180 VDC.

Delta Tau offers a family of amplifiers of 1- to 4-axis 3-phase servo amplifiers that support a wide variety of motor type, power ranges and interfaces. One such amplifier is their 4 channel, digital direct PWM Quad Amplifier with specifications of 208/230 VAC or 380/460 VAC packaged compactly at 560mm high by 255mm wide by 190mm deep (22"x10"x7.5").

Electrocraft offers the CompletePower™ range of drive products. Drive performance includes simple 2-quadrant speed control to full 4-quadrant servo control with both encoder feedback and tachometer feedback options available. CompletePower drives operate from 11 to 70V with continuous currents from 8 to 30 Amps.

Elmo Motion Control offers analog servo amplifiers, for brush and brushless DC motors, including brushless motors for sinusoidal commutation. Features of Elmo's amplifiers include ambient temp tolerance from 0° - 50°C (32° - 122°F), with models for extended environmental conditions also available, maximum humidity at 90% non-condensing, and a max. operating altitude up to 10,000 m (30,000 ft).
