Actuators

Oriental Motor offers a wide range of linear and rotary actuators to meet the need of various applications. The DRL series of compact linear actuators use a 5-phase stepping motor incorporating a ball screw. Stroke length varies from 0.98 in. to 3.94 in., and thrust force from 3.3 lb. to  67 lb.; all sizes available in standard type and guide type. The DG Series of rotary actuators feature permissible torque from 7.9 lb-in to 440 lb-in, and speed at 200r/min and 110r/min.

ROLLON offers a complete family of linear actuators. The A’s have a COMPACT “T”-rail mounted flat inside the profile. The C’s have a COMPACT “T”-rail mounted face to face with a Compact “U”-rail. The E’s have a COMPACT “T”-rail mounted flat inside the profile and one Compact “U”-rail mounted externally. The ED75 have a Compact “U”-rail mounted flat inside the profile and two Compact “U”-rails mounted externally; one on each side. The H units are “slave units” with a COMPACT RAIL U-rail inside.

The Bishop-Wisecarver DTS rotary actuator system utilizes oval and rectangular track systems and provides actuation by means of a high tensile strength timing belt; with continuous or intermittent motion to suit application requirements. Other DTS rotary actuator options include AC geared motors, IEC frame gearboxes, pully bearing units, trip latches, and sensor mounting brackets.

Macron Dynamics manufactures liinear actuators and bel drives as part of their line of products, for custom one, two and three axis motion applications. Speeds reach up to 15,240mm/second (600 inches), and are capable of accomodating payloads of up to 10,000 lbs. They feature repeatability to +/- .001, with zero backlash.

Del-Tron Precisions manufactures the DL series linear lead screw actuators, high speed belt driven actuators and ball actuators. They are offered in travel lengths up to 410 millimeters. Load capacities range from 150 newtons to 900 newtons. Del-Tron can provide special leads, diameters, couplings, motor mounts, and vary the size, type and travel of slides on request.

SKF manufactures a range of linear actuators and rotary actuators in a variety of sizes including compact robust designs. Their linear actuators feature max strokes varying from 50 to 700mm. Their rotary actuators range in maximum angular speed from up to 13°/sec to upto 110°/sec.

Rotomation manufactures actuation units to order. Actuators types include rotary, multi-position, indexing, stepping and pick & place actuators. Some examples of Rotomation actuators are the tiny A032 two-position actuator with dimensions 2.00" x 1.54" x 1.50", and with no backlash; the dual rack A22 rotary actuator with a max radial load of 85 lb. and max thrust of 100 lb.; and pick & place actuators from 5 in. size down to mini vacuum actuators at .36 in size and max. air pressure of 100 psi.

Festo pneumatic actuators include rodless actuators that feature sizes of 8mm to 63mm in diameter, stroke range from 1 - 5,000mm and maximum speed of 3 m/s. The Festo DFPI regulated linear actuator have diameters ranging from 100mm to 320mm, high IP protection, with a housing designed for use outdoors.

12v or 24vd dcelectric linear actuator  from Linak consists of a motor, a gear and a spindle including a nut. Electric linear actuators are electromechanical devices that convert low DC voltage from a control box into a linear movement. Applications include hospitals, industrial machining, adjustable desks and tables, comfort furniture, and switchgear automation. Also manufacture Techline heavy duty actuator line.

Harmonic Drive manufactures AC servo, DC servo and linear actuators. Their electromechanical DC actuators are available in a wide range of sizes, and hollow shaft designs. Harmonic Drive is able to design custom actuators to customer requirements.

SMAC manufactures precision programmable electric actuators based on moving coil technology. Force, position and speed are programmable elements of their actuators. SMAC ranges include linear, linear slide, gripper, and XY Stage actuators. The XY models have 10mm, 15mm and 25mm of stroke in their respective axis and peak forces that include 25N and 42N.

BEI Kimco offers linear voice coil actuators (for applications such as semiconductor equipment, defense systems and life-sustaining medical systems), rotary voice coil actuators (applications ranging from Z axis control in semiconductor lead bonding equipment to gimbal torques and pick-and-place robotics), and smart voice coil actuators (where integration of a position feedback sensor for servo positioning or velocity control is needed) for the industrial, aerospace/defense, and transportation industries.

Among components manufactured by Barrington Automation are their linear actuators and rotary actuators. Their precision pneumatic linear actuators are available in a wide range of stock strokes and sizes with custom stroke lengths available. They feature chrome plated cylinder rods and long life seals, anodized aluminum body; bearing blocks and end blocks that are either anodized or electroless nickel plated with mounting holes. Their pneumatic Rotary Actuators offer fully adjustable strokes from 0 to 180 degrees.

E&E Engineering's all linear motion products include actuator load bars, linear actuators, linear/rotary actuators, electric linear actuators, Rota-Shaft air or hydraulic powered cylinders, servo positioning controllers, slide assemblies, and much more.

Aerotech manufactures the LMA and LMAC series linear actuators. These linear actuators are ideal for are ideal for pick-and-place machines, gantry axes, shuttle stages, assembly machines, or as a general-purpose positioner; capabilities include travel up to 1m, acceleration to 3g and counterbalance available for vertical applications. Aerotech also offers the ANT-25LA direct-drive linear actuator.

The Precision Alliance manufactures miniature linear actuators, the Minibot Linear Actuator, and Ultra Mini actuators. They also build specialized/custom systems. The MiniBot-20 is available in any length up to 500 mm, and strokes up to 390 mm (15.4").

NPM offers Rotary stepper motors and linear stepper motors. The LINEARSTEP® motor ranges in diameter from 25mm (less than 1 inch) to 35mm (1.38 inches) and is a tin-can type linear actuator. Tin-Can Rotary Steppers range in diameter from 25mm (less than 1 inch) to 55mm (2.17 inches) and are permanent magnet type rotary stepper motors. The LINEARSTEP® motor ranges in diameter from 25mm (less than 1 inch) to 35mm (1.38 inches) is tin-can type linear actuator.

Cleveland Motion Controls manufactures linear actuators with standard integration as well as custom engineered options. For example, standard features of the MS Series include, 100% duty cycle ball screws, 60% duty cycle Acme screws, and stroke length up to 30 in., (91.5 cm) - 1 in. (25.4mm) increments.

Copley Controls manufactures the ServoTube series of moving rod actuators. Features of these include velocity up to 5.9 m/s, acceleration up to 586 m/s/s and built-in position sensor and heatsink.
